At these rates streamed music can be quite listenable if the stream has been carefully encoded. Will not work properly on a dial-up connection |
| 96 Kbps | A good compromise between quality and bandwidth, reasonable sound and likely to play well on a broadband connection without any breaks |
| 128 Kbps | High quality streaming audio |
| 192 Kbps | Very high quality streaming audio |
