I think my original comments were probably rather inconsiderate, sorry once again if I came across as discouraging to anyone. If anything it was out of character for me.

I would always try to be encouraging to an absolute beginner, see my latest post to my original thread ‘Addicted to Salsa’.

In fact hats off to those beginners who did give it try.

I can’t say I have encountered bad manners on the dance floor yet Elena, but I suppose it usually becomes apparent when you get a range of abilities on the dance floor when it becomes overcrowded.

Speaking of bad manners and bad attitudes I would like to say something...

I may be shooting myself in the foot here but here goes! I know I haven’t been on the scene much lately and not properly since last summer (by that mean taking part in all the lessons) but it has come to my attention that I have in the past really offended people and come across as being rude abrupt.

So to those of you that I have upset, I can only offer my sincerest apologies. I really don’t mean to come across as rude and bad mannered and those who know me will know that I’m not those things. Again I apologise, but for future reference, if people do think I’m out of line or have a problem with me, TELL ME! I won’t get mad, I would rather know.

If I am out of line I will apologise, but I can’t correct my faults if they are not pointed out to me.

Hi Lisa. Not sure where that came from. There must be some very sensitive people out there as I’ve never found you either rude or bad mannered - quite the opposite.

A lot of men on the salsa scene don’t like women offering them constructive advice or criticism (though they love telling women what they are doing wrong). If they are the people who you’ve offended then it’s their problem, not yours.
