I’m looking for a salsa class in Swansea and found this link through google. But I’ve just noticed how old the messages are... are the classes still running?

I think Kate said the other night that she’s not running anything in Swansea at the moment. The alternatives are the Monkey Bar on Tuesdays or Cafe Mambo on a Friday.

I’m looking for a beginners salsa class in Swansea on a Tues or Thurs? Can anyone tell me who teaches in the Monkey Bar and what time it is etc?

My Swansea classes are suspended for the moment, I will post a message here if I do find an alternative venue to start up again.

The classes advertised for Feb are they still current? I am interested in going to a class from mid July, are you still at Que Pasa?

Hi Sarah,
The main nights in Swansea are as follows:

Tuesday’s in the Monkey Bar with Charlotte from, I think, about 7:30.
Beginners, Improvers and Intermediate.

Friday’s in Cafe Mambo with Gorka from 7:15.
However, the classes are unusually run in reverse order as follows:
Advanced, Intermediate and Beginners.
The beginners start at about 8:45.

In a way, having the beginners last is, I think, a good thing as it generally encourages them to stay for the social dancing afterwards.

By the way, I have just came from a cuban salsa weekend held in Devon... I got loads of new advance stuff from teachers such as Moe Flex and Osbanis. ;o)
