Poko Loco is an 8 piece salsa band, based in Cardiff.
We play all over and do gigs in Cardiff such as Cafe Jazz and the Riverbank (now closed) and various bars as well as private functions.

We would like to do more gigs in and around Cardiff and wonder if any of the various Salsa class organisers would be interested in a live band, or if there are any events which would benefit from one.
The full band includes three horns, kit, timbales, congas, bass, keys, guitar. We are professional musicians and play authentic cuban tunes as well as popular latin and latin jazz tunes.
If there is anyone out there who would be interested in booking us, please contact me on the number below. There is a recording available on request or we can arrange for you to come and hear us at a gig.

Hi everyone, I have seen these guys live in Zync bar a few mounths ago. I used to go there before, no more becouse I don’t like to listen to african-reggaeton music, it is not my type simply I can not dance. Anyway, back to the matter as I said, I have no idea how this group can call themselves a SALSA band. All they do is play jazz. To be honest, I was willing to see a real salsa group live to dance all night, and the truth is that I almost fell sleep. I am really sorry to said that, but I am just being honest.

Please do not be offended.

A friend of mine went to see them a couple of years ago hoping to dance and came back saying the same thing - very little actual salsa.
