Hi All,

Just a very quick update regards the Mega Salsa Party Night on 23rd July at the Grosvenor Casino Cardiff Bay, not long to go... one week this Friday! :

Its shaping up to be a FANTASTIC EVENT, as am sure you will all appreciate there has been HUGE INTEREST!! We have had a few queries regarding dress code. The dress theme of the party is purely optional. But to be ELIGIBLE for the prize draw and to win the tickets you do need to be dressed in the PARTY THEME. However as some of the lads (;-)) were a little concerned about having to wear a HULA SKIRT and BIKINI TOP (and if one more person asks me if I am wearing a Borat mankini!!!), please remember that it is also a SUMMERWEAR THEME (I have updated the website and facebook event to state this). So as long as you are dressed brightly and ‘summery’ that counts just fine. But do feel free if you want, to wear shorts, hawaiian shirts and hula skirts etc etc... it’s ALL PART OF THE FUN!!!

We’re also really looking forward to seeing all our CUBAN STYLE dancing cousins attending (plenty of room for RUEDAS!), our super DJ Shalim (for those that remember he was the DJ at our massive Halloween Party night, and our Moe Flex night at Culto) has every great salsa track under the sun, be it Cuban or Cross Body, loads of superb REGGAETON and a huge repartoire of great BACHATA, KIZOMBA and ZOUK/LAMBADA, we’re there all night we have plenty of time to keep everyone happy musically, and he will be taking requests!! I will be doing a little bit of the DJ’ing also, playing all your favourite tracks from our regular salsa class and dance nights!

We have GREAT NEW ROUTINES lined up for you for the classses on the party night, A GREAT DJ, GREAT MUSIC, FANTASTIC VENUE, amazing TOP PRIZE and a fun FANCY DRESS theme... and as if all that is not enough in the words of Lionel Ritchie ‘'We’re gonna have a party... ALL NIGHT LONG’!!! NOT TO BE MISSED!!!

Hi All...

Not long to go now... another quick update!!! :-)

There is a HUGE BUZZ OF EXCITEMENT over the party. Not suprising considering everything on offer, we haven’t had a party like this in our part of the world before, it’s about time and been very long overdue!!! We have a LOT of people coming including people from all corners of the UK, and finally we get to SHOWCASE WALES & CARDIFF as the place for dancing and partying Salsa and its dance style cousins, we have the TALENT, we have the BEAUTIFUL country and the BEAUTIFUL people that are either born and/or living and working here, for once people are coming over the bridge (or down the middle!) to us for a change, including many that have never even ventured over here yet for salsa and are we all gonna give them a TREAT or what!!! :-))).

Although not compulsary (summerwear is perfectly fine!) from the feedback we are getting expect to see a lot of hula skirts and coconuts... (and that’s just the men!!! ;-)).

Cos of the VERY LARGE NUMBERS of people attending on Friday the casino are putting extra staff on the reception. Please remember if you have never been to the casino before that on your first visit only you need to SHOW A PHOTO ID (e.g. Driving licence). Allow extra time for parking (there is the huge free car park in front) and being seen at reception so that we can start the classes promptly, we are planning to start around 7.30pm SHARP! Don’t forget to get your raffle ticket at reception also. Additional raffle ticket for doing the class will be given at the class. If you have booked a meal beforehand you will also get an addittional raffle ticket when you eat.

If you are coming after 10.30pm just for the dancing and you want to be included in the prize draw (as long as you are dressed in some way in the party theme everyone!) you need to get there before 11:45pm as no raffle tickets for the draw will be given after that time! So allow time to make sure you get there before then if just coming for the dancing!

Draw will be done by the Grosvenors’ events manager Zoe around 12:30am and I will announce the lucky winning number!!

The last couple of weeks has been an AMAZING array of people from everywhere telling us how much they can’t wait for this party... I don’t think I have ever come across this much of a BUZZ of EXCITEMENT before! Not surprising when you see what’s on offer for the FIRST TIME EVER at any salsa party in this part of the world!
OUR RENOWNED CLASSES (Bachata & Salsa) all 3 for only a fiver courtesy of The Grosvenor. Dancing after 10.30pm FREE and OPEN TO ALL!! HUGE SPACE, LUXURIOUS VENUE, AIR CONDITIONED!! PRIZE DRAW top price £125 tickets to see one of the WORLDS BEST DANCE SHOWS in Londons West End! DRESS THEME, alcohol and soft drinks and food available ALL NIGHT! FULL CASINO facilites at your disposal feel free to have a flutter or not. Our superb and renowned DJ playing nothing but the BEST in, SALSA (CROSS BODY & CUBAN), BACHATA, REGGAETON, KIZOMBA, ZOUK/LAMBADA and taking requests! THE WORLD AND ITS MOTHER IN ATTENDANCE! And if just all that was not enough, the party is running ALL NIGHT LONG!!! :-))

PLEASE REMEMBER that if you have never been to the casino before that you must bring a valid form of photo ID eg. Driving licence. You must also be over 18 to attend. (Casino rules).

Because of the LARGE numbers attending there will be extra staff on reception, but please allow time for parking (huge secure free car park in front and overflow car park) and being seen at reception, class times are planned to start as advertised starting with beginners at 7.30pm SHARP! If you are coming just for dancing and want to be included in the draw you have to be there before 11.45pm.

Remember party theme has been updated to also include ‘SUMMERWEAR’ so as long as you are dressed brightly/summery you are eligible for the PRIZE DRAW, but you will still be seeing a lot of hula skirts and coconuts and hawaiian shirts!!!
