Salsa A Lo Cubano’s Tuesday Salsa has moved from Barocco to La Tasca permanently! This will start from tomorrow, 19th January 2010.

Salsa A Lo Cubano Every Tuesday at La Tasca, Unit 6 The Old Brewery Quarter, Cardiff, CF10 1FG
7pm Beginners Salsa
8pm Improvers Salsa
9pm Intermediates Salsa
Then Freestyle dancing and Rueda until 11pm!

We are very pleased to have the opportunity to hold the Salsa in La Tasca every Tuesday! La Tasca is a Spanish restaurant with a great atmosphere for Salsa. It is in the Brewery Quarter, just two minutes walk from Barocco. And every week... free bread & olives for all Salsa dancers!

Also... we have decided to extend the Freestyle Dancing session after the classes, so there will be no separate 10pm Rueda class. But, don’t worry... Ruedas will also be organised in the Freestyle Dancing session - so you won’t miss out!

Oh Dear I Loved Barocco - what on earth happened?

Management problems again??

This is hapopening more and more with the city venues.

Yes, Barocco is a lovely venue and we are lucky to be there for a year and a half. However, the Barocco Head Office reviewed the situation and felt that Salsa was no longer a good option there due to poor bar take. It’s been nothing to do with the Barocco general manager, who has always been great with us.

As far as I’ve seen, the Salsa dancers coming on a Tuesday always buy drinks and don’t ask for tap water. So I don’t think there was much we could have done to avoid this decision.

La Tasca is also a fab venue for Salsa, it has a great atmosphere, so we look forward to continuing our Tuesday nights there!
