Hi Shahid,
Here at Fever Media we are making a new entertainment show for the BBC which will involve both open auditions in Manchester and London, but also roaming auditions around the UK, including Cardiff sometime between the 18th and 23rd of October, and I was wondering if you could help circulate some information about the show auditions to see if anyone at your classes would be interested in taking part.
The show is essentially a dance competition, but one in which amateurs have as much chance as professionals, and where a line dance could beat a breakdance, and where someone who may have only ever danced at weddings could perform in front of a celebrity panel and win a money-can’t-buy prize.
The working title of the show is Move Like Michael, and the only requirement is that your dance is in some way influenced or inspired by Michael Jackson, other than that, anything goes! Belly dancers, salsa dancers, ballroom dancers, all are welcome, and we’re looking for a real cross-section of the UK population in terms of age, profession and ability.
I’ve attached an application form for the show, as well as a little blurb advertising the show, and a flyer. We’re hoping to go to press very soon with exciting details of our celebrity panel and choreographers, and the special prize that awaits the winner of our live final.
Anybody that is interested can post their application form to the address listed at the end of the form, or they can email it to dance@fevermedia.co.uk. It would be great if they could also cc myself in that email (john.hopcroft@fevermedia.co.uk). Let me know if you think anyone would be interested in taking part.
