I have uploaded a few photos of the new Cuban Salsa night which is now up and running every Tuesday upstairs at Koko Gorilaz, Miskin St, Cathays, Cardiff. You can view the photos here:

Details of the night are as follows:
8pm Beginners class, 9pm Improvers class, then freestyle dancing until midnight.
Price: £4 for one class, £5.50 for both classes, £2.50 for freestyle dancing only.
Emphasis on dancing with good style as well as turns.

A few people have been phoning me concerning what footwear to wear for our Cuban Salsa classes...

It’s absolutely fine for people to come to our classes in casual footwear/trainers - in Cuba that is what people wear to dance socially. (The cuban style of salsa doesn’t involve spinning in the way that other styles of salsa do - making it fine to wear trainers.)

However, of course, that doesn’t mean don’t come in high heels (for women!) - please wear whatever you want to - it’s completely up to personal preference.
