Hi everyone,
Further to the La Rueda course I organised last October, I am running 2 courses this Feb. Details are:

Wednesday evenings in Tiger Tiger, Grey Friers Road, Cardiff.
February: 7, 14, 21, 28
March: 7

7.30-8.30pm: Improvers 1
8.30-9.30pm: Beginners

Advance bookings only - you must subscribe to join the course. No partner required.

Contact: katycubana@hotmail.com or TEXT 07870 248827

Improvers Level 1: Building on the moves learned at Beginners level.
You will need to have a good knowledge of beginners La Rueda including: Tiempo de Espnana, Dame (una/dos/con dos), Enchuff’la (Doble, al Centro), La Prima (con la Hermana/ Familia), Sombrero, Amistas (complicada). These moved will not be included in the course.

Beginners Level: No experience of La Rueda required, however knowledge of at least improvers level in salsa (whether in US or Cuban styles) essential i.e.Cross-body lead, half turns, basket wraps etc.

Conflict?

Doesn’t Tammi teach there every Wednesday night? Will there be TWO different lessons in ONE venue at the same time?

Seems really bizare if that is the case.

Yes Tammi also teaches. However we use a different room.

HI Kate

I used to attend your Salsa Class at Que Pasa in Swansea. Any update on a new venue for Swansea?

Thanks

Nicky

It’s not ‘really bizarre’, there are three lessons at a time in Risa. The rueda beginners’ course Kate ran before Christmas was really good and I’m looking forward to the improvers.

Thanks for the kind comment Tom, I’m glad you enjoyed :)
I’m really looking forward to the course, as you know La Rueda is my FAVOURITE form of salsa, and it’s always so much fun to teach.

Nicky, I am still looking for a venue unfortunately. I was thinking of Lava Lounge but that didn’t really work out. I have a few friends that live in the area and they are always looking out for a suitable venue, if anything comes up I’ll be sure to let you know.

Conflict?

How is it not Tom? It is as if John decided to start teaching Cuban Style Salsa again and chose down stairs in Bar Risa on a Thursday night at the SAME TIME as Andy’s and his fellow teachers are teaching L.A. Style Salsa upstairs.

There are quite a few venues in Cardiff people can use to teach, why hold classes the Same night and Same venue that another teacher is using?

Why not teach the rueda class on a Tuesday night there instead? Or a Monday night? Or a Different Venue like Cuba or Risa or Que Pasa?

PS. This has nothing to do with or against Kate, I have known Kate quite a while and have loads of respect for her but this choice, to me, IS quite bizare.

Dear Conflict?

OK. You think it’s bizarre. Duly noted. Nobody else cares. Discussion closed.
