Yeah - it seemed pretty full last night with lots of faces I didn’t recognise so I wondered if it was Freshers week already. Not as in touch with the student community as I once was so I wasn’t sure. Still it’s always nice to dance with new people. If Cuba gets a lot more full you won’t be able to move during those classes.

Cuba was actually pretty quiet this week, many of the regulars weren’t there and are probably on their hols making up for the poor weather we’ve had this summer.

Hi, you don’t need to book for the lessons at risa do you?

No, just turn up.

If you’re serious about learning, though, I’d strongly recommend Andy’s Sunday courses, which you do have to book for. More details on his site at www.dancalatina.com

Hi I was just wondering If a lot of people come along without a dance partner?

Thanks, Ben.

Hey Ben

The good thing about Risa is that you do not need a dance partner, you just partner up with a lady and then you change every few minutes.

Hi!
What is the age range at Bar Risa?

me

Very wide - from students to almost pension age.

Well the Cardiff salsa scene looks great. I am frasher to the Uni. Of Glamorgan. Certainly would like to try out one of the local salsa parties. Any que how to get back to Trefforest/Ponty after midnight? Regards, Radim (Czech Rep.)

Yeah that’s a tricky one, cos the last train is around 11.30 right?

The only thing I can think of is to either get a car, take a taxi (apparently that’s around £25 from cardiff to trefforest) or ask around the uni and see if anyone who has access to a car would come with you. I know the uni used to operate a shuttle bus occasionally from cardiff to trefforest, but you would have to ask at the union about that, see if its still running etc etc etc
