Jackie... you are obviously a raving lesbian... ;-)... and where did you go drinking afterwards?... I did pop into that nightclub afterwards to hook up with a few people... (I won’t mention it’s name otherwise people will realise just how sad I am... ;-) )... was packed... did look out for you and your pal but you were nowhere to be seen. Was hoping we would get some hot dancing in to the cheesy 80’s music... you lovely little mover you... oh why are the best ones always already taken???

Now that’s flirting!!! Just in case anyone has trouble noticing the difference!!! :-)

Ditto Lisa I’ve just had a cracking laugh reading WW’s remarks he is so funny!!

To answer your question WW. Tracy & I went straight home like good girls, boring aint we... :-))... I think I’d had enough cocktails, so I missed all the fun in that unmentioned nightclub. 80’s music eh! It’s great for a good old fashioned sexy reggae dance, shame I missed it & my dance with you lol.
As for me being a “raving lesbian” I must have missed my vocation in life... “RAVING” definately YES! ... “LESBIAN” definately NO. If I’d read what you had written before I went to O Neills tonight I would have dragged you up for a dance & proved it lmao.

Anyway now I’ve finished with that bit of harmless flirting back at WW. I had a great night in O Neills tonight Rueda is so much fun & I learnt some new for me, Rueda moves, just hope I can remember them! Had some great dances too after lessons. Thanks Guys! Then just to make my night even better I won the raffle too ha ha
Jaki X :-) X

One other thing since Black Ice has been playing the music there you get a better range of music rather than some of the odd, saga based music, easy lounge salsa please can we have more hard and fast tunes

Questions questions quest

Hey I want to start salsa but have no idea what to wear. Is a knee length skirt and a top ok or are jeans a better idea for a beginner? Can I wear heals coz I don’t really like dancing in flats? Also, does it matter when u start ie will I be left behind bcoz I didn’t go last week? And are there many ppl that come on their own or does everyone come with friends?? I’m scared lol. O so many questions!!! Xxxx

Hi Qqq,

All the info you need to know is under the frequently asked questions section of this website which can be found here. www.salsacardiff.com/text/salsa-faq

All beginners classes start from basic steps each week, and it doesn’t matter if you miss a week, most classes are run on a drop in basis. Coming on your own doesn’t matter at all, as you regularly change partners in the classes, enabling you to meet lots of new people.

Don’t be scared, be bold and after a few classes you will soon begin to enjoy it. Good luck, have fun!

Thinking of starting, but am a total beginner, so obviosuly nervous. What is the age range at O’Neill’s?

Something like 18 to 65 - it’s very inclusive and you should find people your own age there, assuming you aren’t 12 or 80 ; )

Jorja

Hello - can anyone tell me if O’Neill’s is open tomorrow, bank holiday Monday? Thank you.
