Here’s an interesting article about a £200 annual licence to permit DJs to make digital copies of CDs. I wonder how it will go. I thought clubs and bars already had to have a licence for public performance so it looks like the music industry is taking two bites of the cherry.
It’s pretty outrageous - if you already own the CD why should you have to pay again to store it on your computer?

Hi Tom, I’ve been told that when you purchase a CD the price of a licence is included to play and copy that CD for your own use only. I think that sucks. Sounds like ‘BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU’ (more crap) have a nice day!
