Message 1 · 8 Jan 2006 20:35 GMT Hello! I am looking for nice bubbly people (f/m) to go to a “salsa for beginners” evening or course. I am new in Cardiff and don’t really know where the best places are, to dance salsa. I am female, 29 and 6 ft tall. I am bubbly myself :) and just arrived from Germany a few weeks ago. I would prefer to go dancing during the week, but not too late, because of getting up for work on the next morning. :) I do not have a partner to dance with till now, so please write if you could be interested. I never danced salsa before, but I went as far as “GoldStar” in ballroom-dancing 10years ago in Germany. Just send me an email so I can get back to you! Vera234@gmx.de Hope to meet you soon Vera |

Message 2 · 9 Jan 2006 12:13 GMT Hi Vera. You don’t need to bring a partner for salsa as you swap partners during the lesson - it’s not like ballroom. I would suggest that you’re better off just turning up. The scene is pretty friendly and if you have dancing experience you should pick it up pretty quickly. If you want an early finish O’Neill’s on a Monday is best, though the best night overall is The Toad on Thursday. |

Message 3 · 9 Jan 2006 23:35 GMT Hi vera! Welcome to cardiff! You can also check out my classes - they’re on the message board dated Dec 30th, titled “2006 dates for Nathalie’s Salsa Classes”. And like tom said, you don’t need to come with a partner. Good luck and hope to meet you sometime soon All the best Nathalie |

Message 6 · 10 Feb 2006 11:05 GMT Hi Vera, The Toad re-opens next week! I should warn you though I think it will be very very busy as Thursday’s are usually Cardiff’s biggest salsa night and as it hasn’t been on for 2 weeks people are probably desparate for a salsa fix! You should definately go next week, you’ll meet some really friendly people and get to dance loads. Look forward to seeing you there! Lisa |

Message 9 · 14 Feb 2006 18:01 GMT Hey Hugh, I was just speaking to Manuel and he just said that the Great Western is still ON. Nothing has changed. He also said that for next time, if you could please contact him first for any new info. On another hand, It is a shame about (Que pasa) if what you say they done to it. It was a good place to go to. Update:- the pricing for Aqua is just £2 for everything. (Lets see if this price motivates people to come) Cheers M |

Message 10 · 14 Feb 2006 18:45 GMT Well, someone emailed me last Wednesday and told me there was nothing on at the Great Western the previous night and as Manuel has never bothered to tell me previously when any of his nights have finished I just assumed it had ended. Thanks for the info about Aqua. I’ll update the listing. |
