Hi guys,

Although not many of you venture over to Bristol on a Thursday or Friday I thought I would post a message to save anyone the journey just in case!

Wednesdays @ Fiesta Havana (100% Salsa) and Sundays @ Romeo Browns (Latin Party) are still running as before...

But Thursday (Arriba) and Friday (La Musica) @ Fiesta Havana have now closed!

Many people have asked us to return to Cardiff (we brought Salsa to Cardiff many moons ago as some of you will remember!) and we would be able to do either a Thursday, Friday or Saturday once again...

So I’d be interested to know if you guys would like to see the return of SalsaMania? I’m thinking of bringing myself (music) Nigel (hosting & teaching) and possibly one of the better London based teachers (advanced and styling).

Any posts for or against the idea would be welcome...

Cheers

El Diablito.

Could be good if you can avoid clashing with the big nights in Cardiff. Thursdays are definitely best avoided (as you already know).

Any ideas who the London teachers would be? I was impressed with MoFlex when he came to Fiesta Havana but I think he teaches on Fridays already. Another very good teacher is Angus Peters from Torquay - do you ever work with him?

Saturdays would be good as the only venue for salsa on a Saturday night is extremely crowded (with a lot of “non-dancing” people!) and there really isn’t the space to have a proper dance (without being completely trodden on and bashed into!) - which is a shame. It would also be nice to have classes available onn a Saturday night too. I definitely wouldn’t recommend you doing a Thursday as The Toad is in many people’s opinion, the biggest and best salsa night of the week in cardiff - and there are often people travelling from bristol to this night. Good luck!

I’m not sure that I agree about Saturday - while La Tasca was stupidly crowded in the runup to Christmas, on a good Saturday night it’s just about the most fun you can have dancing in Cardiff.

Please come to cardiff! I think it would be fab and either Friday or Saturday night would be great, it would be lovely to be able to have lessons before hand aswell.

I agree that Thursdays are not a good idea but def Friday or Saturday... which london based teachers were u thinking of?

It would make a refreshing change to have guest teachers and different organbisers of salsa events... don’t get me wrong, I love what goes on here but it can get a bit stagnant.
