Message 2 · 25 Nov 2005 13:51 GMT It is usually popular on a Saturday. Don’t bother to get there before eleven. It can be crowded and there may be quite a lot of non-salsa dancers there, but the music and atmosphere are usually great. Not a night for salsa purists, but good fun if you don’t mind sharing a dancefloor with muggles. Next weekend (3rd) most of the serious salsa dancers will probably be away at Brean Sands. |

Message 3 · 25 Nov 2005 17:19 GMT Hi greg, It varies to be honest... Some nights it’s packed and u can hardly move let alone dance but the atmosphere is great and other nights it’s quiet but still a great atmosphere with the added plus of having space to dance! I love the place and the atmosphere but generally go for the social side and not the dancing... It also has a far more Cuban feel... lots of cuban dancing. Music can vary but its generally very good! I think it’s hit and miss, u never can tell. When were u planning on going? I’ll probably be going tomorrow night and I hope its a good night as I’ve not been out for ages! It can also sometimes appear to be quite clicky but just jump straight in and ask the ladies. It’s not as clicky as it may seem. Maybe cu there sometime. |

Message 9 · 31 Jan 2007 12:28 GMT La Tasca is still good on a Saturday night. Not sure where’s best to eat in Cardiff centre though - the Spanish food in La Tasca itself is OK but a bit overpriced. There are a couple of good Thai restaurants in the centre, though they aren’t cheap, and there’s also an Ask nearby - the Ask chain is usually reliable for Italian food. There’s also a Oportos, a Portuguese restaurant round the corner which isn’t bad. |
