Message 11 · 27 Jun 2005 15:29 GMT I’m at the wharf every week so it may have been me... I don’t think many other women sweat as much as me! I know that sounds gross doesn’t it?! It’s funny tho as I never sweat when I’m at the gym etc. I’m also at The Toad every week so who knows if it’s me? I presume I’ve danced with you? I’m sorry about that complaint... I was having a really bad night and one guy had actually really hurt me so I was just very angry! I’m sure you weren’t one of the men who warranted that comment... It was aimed more at a few of the regulars who I think Andy can’t tell to leave as they have been going a long time. The only reason I get so annoyed is because I’m there to learn and when u get leads like that there’s no chance. Hi Bobby, I’ve been going to the Lambada for a couple of weeks and personally think it’s fab... Not very many people either so I think u get more from it... Only downside (well not for us women) but there are more men who go than women. Definately worth a go though! |

Message 12 · 27 Jun 2005 15:43 GMT I thought your complaint was quite justified, actually. It wasn’t just the men - there were also women in the class who couldn’t follow a basic CBL or do a basic turn. |

Message 13 · 27 Jun 2005 15:58 GMT Were there? You should point that out too as being a lady I don’t tend to dance with other women so don’t notice how good/bad they are. All in all, they should be stricter... Even when they watch us all dance to warm up and have to do certain moves to ‘prove’ we are capable, they don’t say anything. No point in making a threat if it’s an empty one. |

Message 15 · 28 Jun 2005 07:42 GMT Hugh, I think we both have different ideas here and I accept ur point so and know ‘the facts’. Those articles are talking about exercising in extreme heat... Which can of course be dangerous due to dehydration etc... We’re not talking about dancing in 110 degree heat after all are we! Most people are very sensible and drink plenty of fluids and don’t over exert themselves... I’m not talking about literally dripping bucket loads of sweat I’m talking about general sweating... U know that bodily function that we can’t control that happens in EVERY form of physical activity... I think there is something very wrong if u don’t sweat or if u don’t think it’s normal to sweat. |

Message 16 · 28 Jun 2005 08:26 GMT Well that’s OK then. Because of course I sweat and of course I think it’s normal to sweat. |

Message 17 · 28 Jun 2005 09:02 GMT I’m glad we got that sorted Hugh and maybe we can even dance together one evening (if we haven’t already) and both be sweaty and enjoy ourselves! |

Message 18 · 28 Jun 2005 13:43 GMT In the interests of avoiding a conversational car crash, should any of you pick the wrong person to discuss sweating with face to face: if TB, PS or Hugh want to know who each of the others really are, I’ll gladly point them out... for a small fee. I missed lambada yesterday, but have been enjoying it. I thought it would take around 3 months of looking like a plank, but hope to get to the relatively normal stage a bit quicker than that. Could do with some more people coming, although its an awkward space which could get crowded, especially with all the flailing about that lambada entails. |

Message 19 · 28 Jun 2005 14:26 GMT Ok, how much is a small fee?? I know u know who I am and I’m sure I would know TB and Hugh if I saw them but I can’t for the life of me figure it out! So I may ask you to point them out when I get back from my hols. I think you’ve picked up Lamabada incredibly quickly... I’m really struggling with it but, yes, we do need more people! You don’t look like a plank at all! I may stop going to The Toad on Thursdays as I’ve found somewhere that does Argentine Tango which I’ve wanted to learn for ages... only downside is it’s on a Thursday. |

Message 20 · 29 Jun 2005 08:56 GMT Don’t spoil the guessing game, Alun... PS, if the Argentine tango is in Morganstown I think you might be the youngest person there by several decades, from what I’ve heard. |
