This is the first time I have been on this web-site and how very interesting!

In respect of the massive thread ‘How good is Salsa in Cardiff’ I think there were some very interesting points!

I would like to say firstly that the standard in Cardiff is bloody good and Andy Witt is a bloody good teacher! I have danced all over and been taught by the likes of Marchant Birch, Al & Edie, Susana Montero, Super Mario to name but a few and even had the pleasure of dancing with the famous Eddie Torres... now to those real salseros that will mean something!

Having moved to Cardiff and been recommended to go to Andy’s lesons I can honestly say I was not dissapointed! He’s an excellent teacher, very clear and makes it fun... he is also a superb dancer and a professional... granted he may not have a dance teaching qualification but he’s passionate about it and that’s what makes the difference! I’ve danced with qualified teachers who quite frankly had no passion at all!

But I do agree that yes, people should dance all over the Country and all over the world! Every teacher/dancer has their own style and that’s what makes it enjoyable! Salsa is about enjoying and expressing yourself... and having a 3 minute love affair on the dance floor! It’s meant to be fun! I take my hat off to the teachers around for the patience they have to put up with us all!
