Hi Folks,

Unfortunately this Thursday 10th March is the last Salsa night at the Toad. The venue is being refurbished and rebranded as part of the Que Pasa chain.

At the moment we do not know what is going to happen with the new managemnet so we are currently trying to find a new Thursday night venue.

Please keep an eye out here and we will update you with any news as soon as possible.

This is terrible news. The Toad has been great fun over the years, I hope you find a new Thursday night venue soon. I'll put the news on the listings page and send a message to the Salsa Cardiff mailing lsit.

This is bad news - really enjoyed the Toad, despite the fact it got crowded.

I note that a new club/bar has opened up in Westgate St, about 2 weeks back, called the La Tantra.
I haven't been there so don't know size of place. However if it is suitable perhaps it's worth Andy speaking to the management there. As they have just opened they are probably trying to establish a customer base and might welcome a regular Thursday crowd.

Venues in Cardiff can be a pain to fine. Specially in the city centre. Hope ya find something soon :) Tis a great class.

I hesitate to suggest this as it'll annoy Wizzy, but I don't suppose O'Neill's might be available on a Thursday? Seems a shame to have a good venue used for salsa on just one night a week.

The point is moot, anyway, because salsa at The Toad has been reprieved - for now.
