Hi, I'm very interested in the Latin-american vibe and would love to learn how to salsa... Where is the best place to learn in Cardiff that's got a great atmosphere but concentrates on learning the moves too?

It's hard to say which class is the best. They're all a bit different and each has its fans and its regulars. The best thing is to go to a few different classes over the course of a couple of weeks and see which one(s) suit(s) you best, they're not very expensive.

Maybe someone else will chime in with a more partisan opinion.

I'm quite interested in learning salsa, but am a bit aprehensive about a few things. I've never done anything like this before, and so am looking for a class for complete novices, and recommendations? Also, what is the general age range of people attending these classes. One of the reasons I want to learn is for the social side. Are there many people in their early 20's learning salsa in Cardiff?

I have taken a look at the FAQ's and it says that you do not have to take along a partner. Is this generally the case and how many people that go do so with a partner to the classes?

Very few people go with partners.

Just go for it mate. I went alone to the Monday night class at O'Neill's this week, with as much apprehension as you're probably feeling, and I'm also a pretty shy guy by nature anyway. But I did actually enjoy it, and will be going to tonight's class at the Toad for the first time as well - alone. So if it's any consolation, you wouldn't be the only one.
