I recently came across this website and I have to say it's very well constructed, easy to use and an obvious asset to all in the Cardiff Salsa scene ...

Congratulations Hugh! If you'd like to link with the SalsaMania website I'd be happy to do that. It might raise awareness over the water and you might find it helps to bring people down to Cardiff etc.
I don't know but it's worth a try.

I do miss Cardiff and it's a shame we no longer run any Clubnights there! But those of you who have been on the salsa scene for a while know the reasons why we had to leave ... It was that bl**dy speed camera just before the dual carriage way. It got to the stage where I couldn't pay my mortgage.

Anyway if you guys are looking for a quality night this side of the water every week on a Friday we are bringing Top Teachers, with either a Show or Live Band to Fiesta Havana we are open 'til 2am with the workshops starting at approx 9pm finishing approx 10pm.
Bands Starting approx 10pm Shows approx 11pm.

These are true events i.e. with some special content

We've been running for about seven weeks now as a strictly Salsa Club and numbers are growing each week at present there are about 100 people attending and about 30 in the workshop

£3 B4 10pm £5 / £3 NUS & Members on Show Nights(includes workshop)
£7 / £5 NUS & Members on Live Music Nights.

I'm not responsible for the door but I'm sure I can arrange a discount for the Cardiff crowd if you'd like me to try.

If you guys want to promote anything in the your area send me the details in good time and I'll post it in the 'others' section of the events page. We get a lot of hits so it could be worthwhile

As many of our clientele are students it's probably true to say that they couldn't or wouldn't be able to travel to Cardiff but a sizeable minority do have transport so as I said, worth a post.

Oh! by the way I noticed somewhere someone was asking about information on Carameloson the all girl Cuban Salsa Band ...
We're putting them on in Fiesta Havana Friday 18th June so if you'd like to know more you can read up on them in the 'Ours' section of the events page.
