Paul Gordon-Smith

Hi everyone.

The next David Lloyd salsa night has been arranged for Saturday the 5th June! For those people new to the forum who don't know me - ask around about the loonatic salsa teacher & you'll soon find out!

The format will be similar to the previous one. £5 admission (free to David Lloyd members) with doors opening at 7pm

7.15 - 7.45 = beginners
7.45 - 8.30 = improvers
8.30 - 9.15 inter / advanced

9.15 - 11.30 - Freestyle

As you can see I've been able to extend the evening length wich appeared to be the largest criticism from the last event.

Again there will be a light snack buffet available.

Please try to come along and give the evening your support. I'm trying to encourage some old faces like Joe Lantelli, Phil Heath and Nigel Maye to put in an appearence but no promises here.

If this on is successful there is a VERY GOOD chance that the next on will have a live group with dancing outside aswell (by their other swimming pool.

Any comment's, requests - please post them here or email salsa.dance@ntlworld.com I will play primarily salsa but throw in a couple of merengue / lambada for those who just have to be that little bit different and I'll throw my copy of CHA CHA SLIDE in the bin! See you in June!

Hi everyone.

Just to remind and update everyone concerning Saturday 5th June.

I have been able to arrange quite a treat. Joe Lantelli and Sinead will be coming up from Glocs to join us for the evening. For those of you who don't know Joe, he was an original teacher of mine way back when and now a great friend. His salsa style is very cheeky LA with excellent emphasis on leading, being naughty and having fun. He has taught in London, Wiltshire, Oxford, Bristol, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Hereford (see another thread)as well as being a regular teacher at the Bath Sulis events and the Pontins Weekends.

Joe has agreed to teach the Advanced class at David Lloyd as well as give us a demonstration dance from his salsa cabaret show which some of you may well have seen at Pontins.

If you've never seen this guy before, he is one not to miss.

Remember - admission is £5 for the evening including buffet and free secure parking.

Hope you can make it.
