Before I was into Salsa I have to confess I found New Year a bit of a non event, as going out and getting drunk was never really my cup of tea.
However the last couple of years I have found that going to a NYE Salsa Party has been the ideal way to see in the new year.
Two years ago I had my first good Salsa night outside Cardiff in Fiesta Havana in Bristol, and many of the Cardiff crowd headed over there as well, which was good to see.
Last year I went to the Salseros NYE Party at Claverton Rooms in Bath University and had another good time and there was a live band as well which was great.
I have recently had a browse around the various local websites for a big event to go to this year, but the only notable event I can find is a NYE party organised by Bath Salsa, which can be found here www.bathsalsa.com/forum/default.htm, however I have not previously been to an event organised by Bath Salsa. Can anyone tell me if it’s likely to be on a par with the previous two local events for this time of year?
I was over in Oceana recently and asked a few of the Bristol crowd what they were doing this year and a few of them said that they were heading up to the Latinmotion event in Coventry or Birmingham as opposed to the event in Bath.
I’m a bit torn where to go. Where is everyone else heading this year?
