Edited by: bailamos Message 1 · 23 Feb 2004 23:57 GMT I see JC has a new Wednesday night starting in La Tasca in the Brewery Quarter. Anyone know whether there will be free dancing at the La Tasca launch night this Wednesday (they're advertising a dazzling dance display by himself)? I also note that on Fridays they're advertising a salsa/Latin DJ - anyone we know?
BTW I'm told that the La Tasca in Glasgow does excellent tapas, so let's hope this one is as good. |

Message 2 · 24 Feb 2004 02:01 GMT Thanks bailamos. Very interesting. It looks like, after months of famine, we're back to "too much salsa". I wonder how things will shake out. |

Message 5 · 5 Mar 2004 11:12 GMT I went to La Tasca on Wednesday night and was disappointed as firstly, it was all beginners so there were no other classes, although I guess this may change if a few of you start turning up. Secondly JC wasn't there, which was unlucky, but I guess he'll be back next week. I ended up going home again without dancing. It's quite a small space so no room for free style while the class is on, but on the plus side I don't think they're charging at the moment. It's a nice place though - good atmosphere and very nice food! |

Message 6 · 5 Mar 2004 11:20 GMT Thanks, E. Very interesting. Who was the stand-in teacher? (If you know.) What was the music like? |

Message 7 · 6 Mar 2004 09:10 GMT I was the stand in teacher at la tasca on wed as JC was ill, from next week he will be back there will be both beginers classes and advanced for those who wish to paticipate. AS 'E' stated there was a volume of beginers hence the level the classes were set at, however, an intermidiate/advanced class was run later in the evening. Hopefully we will see some more of the more experienced dancers turn up which will benifit all. As from next week classes will be £3 and £2 just to dance. |
