I love Zync

What’s it like in Zync, these days? What sort of music do they play? Who is the DJ? How late does it go on? I removed the listing for Zync when I got reports of not much salsa being played.

Hello Hugh, The music that is being played in Zync, is mostly R&B music with some Portuguese Chart music.
It loses the name latino heat. Not bad for young people who want a wide music scene, but not for latinos.

The meaning of latino is very simple its a derivation from the ancient Latin civilazition which includes Portuguese, french spanish and italian... that’s what’s going on down in zync a blend of the best latino fused with the best african music interpreted by some people with no knowledge as “R&B” I was really impressed with the mix of so many musical cultures in one night that goes up till 3:30 in the morning...

That’s a bizarre definition. It reminds me of former US vice-president Dan Quayle going to Latin America and apologising because he “couldn’t speak Latin”.

People use the word Latino to mean different things but it certainly doesn’t include French. To me it means Latin American. In Latin America it has an ethnic meaning and refers to people of mixed Spanish and indigenous heritage.

(Not to be confused with ‘Ladino’ which is a kind of Spanish spoken by Sephardic Jews.)

If you were “latino” probably youd never say such barbarity...
As long as you re happy to be a Latino “wanabe” were all happy :)
