Your description of your friend’s experience is unfortunately familiar. I wonder how many talented women have been lost to salsa after their first encounter with men who fling pretty beginners around and then lecture them. Men who behave like this are almost invariably poor dancers themselves who don’t have a clue about how to lead properly.
