Online Metronome

Here's a free online metronome I've just found, very useful for stepping through salsa dance sequences at various tempos. If you are a beginner I would set it at about 144 beats per minute or less (that's a bit slower than salsa is played in the clubs) and gradually increase it, one step at a time, as you gain confidence.

Here is a free online Salsa “metronome”, called the Salsa Beat Machine. It includes more than just a simple metronome - a full set of percussion instruments, along with piano, bass and an instructor voice counting the beat. You can change the patterns that the instrument play, visualize their patterns, turn them on and off and much much... also available as an iPhone application.
