Thanks again Steve.

Yes I should of guessed it was Mojito Project, they are very good at what they do. They’ve got quite a few nice Bachata tracks.

The only thing is, it appears that this album has only partly been released, you can only get a coulple of tracks on mp3 at Amazon, iTunes or eMusic, but not the track I’m after.

Hey Dai, sorry to hear you cannot find the track/s!!! This is the problem when I give out info sometimes, as I have access to tracks through the DJ pool that may not always be available to the general public at least in the short term! They are often available a little way down the line, but that’s not necessarily the case either... especially when they are promo only remixes :-/

The Mojito track you want I know is available, as is the whole CD if you do a google search! Several pages in, you may find an Italian website (there are several) that will happily sell you the CD, provided of course you trust it and understand the text... lol

Good luck with the search :-)

Hi Salseros,

Does anyone know the names of these tracks that the Vasquez’ brothers are dancing to the first one, is the one that Luis is dancing to from 3:10 onwards in this video.

The second one Johnny is dancing to in a UK Salsa Congress show from 2:35 onwards in this video.

In fact Steve if you read this, you played the second one last night in Bristol. It was kind of spooky because I had been looking at this video a few days before and then I found myself dancing to it last night.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Dai, Always come and ask as I’m happy to give out info at any time!!! Though immediately after the track is played ‘por favor’ Because ten minutes later and my head is usually in another place (-: it’s an age related thing that you won’t understand just yet ;-)

P.S.

The first track I’m not sure about Dai... It sounds like Wayne Gorbea in style :-/ Though nothing I’ve heard (Damn) I love it though and need to know what it is now! I may well come back on that... :-)

The second track you’re looking for is:
Orquesta Swingoza - Aqui Se Puede (the one I played last night :-)

Thanks Steve.

I’ve discovered that Orquesta Swingoza are a Japanese based band and their composer Gen Ogimi previously had links to Orquesta de la Luz.

I recently stumbled across this live video of one of my favourite Salsa tracks Desgarga de la Luz by Orquesta de la Luz. It also features Oscar D’Leon and Tito Puente, great stuff!

In away the link doesn’t surprise me because both tracks feature fantastic percussion.

Hey Dai, they are great I love em! Here’s a romantic one in English from Orquesta de la Luz, I sometimes play it when playing a Salsa en Ingles section or Salsa Romantica themed night :-)

Hope you like it if you haven’t already heard it before!
And here’s one from Yoko - Este Ritmo Original...
Another Cracker which I also played on Wednesday if my memory serves me correct :-O

Thanks for those suggestions Steve.

By the way Wayne Gorbea was enough of a lead to find out the name the track that Luis Vasquez is dancing to in the video. Yes Wayne Gorbea seams to have a very distinctive sound to his music, rich like Galaxy chocolate! ;-)

I looked at the discussions below on You Tube and found that the name of the track is Estamos En Salsa. The only thing is, there appears to be two versions, it is the longer one which is about 5:55. It is available on at least two albums Fiesta En El Bronx and The Rough Guide to Salsa Dura NYC.

In fact it is isn’t until approximately 2:30 into the track until you recognise that is the music that Luis is dancing to in the video, which is the best part. The percussion, trombones and trumpet and are just beautiful!

Here is a slightly slower live version.

Hello my fellow Salseros,

Does anyone know the group name that sings the song La-La-La?

Sam

Hi all,
Does anyone know the name of the song which is a Salsa remix of one of the songs from the film Saturday Night Fever?
Hopefully someone knows the song I mean!
Best Wishes
Sam
