Greg(Southwest)

Hello All,

Unfortunately I had my Coat stolen from Q Bar last night... Luckily although I thought I had my wallet in it I didn’t... However my Phone and Car/House Keys were taken...

If anyone saw anything near the pool tables let me know 08709044842... (Cream Linen Jacket)

I should have kept my coat with the rest of the Salsa crowds belongings - but there you go - live and learn!

Big thanks to the 2 Ang’s (my angels) for giving me a lift back to Bristol to pick up my spare keys - then back into the city at 2am... Salsa people are SOOOOO nice...

So... Just a warning... be careful especially in the clubs where we are mixing with non-salsa punters...

Cheers

Greg

P.S. The policeman I reported the theft to pretty much admitted they would never catch the culprit... although he had managed to put a ticket on my car (which is only marginally more expensive than the NCP! )... ohhh the irony...!

Sorry to hear about this Greg.

I’ve had two coats and a bag stolen at salsa in Cardiff over the years. Now, when there’s a coat-check I always use it.

I urge all promoters to try and to include a coat-check facility if possible. I assume it’s self financing and it will help the peace-of-mind of your customers.

Hi Greg,
My sympathy to you. It’s happened to me too. My jacket, car keys and house keys. I too had an angel from salsa to help me. The police, useless, they even had the theif caught on CCTV to look for him.
On the launch night of Q bar I warned people that there were some dodgy punters already in there and they were allowing people in once the salsa class had started without paying if they were just having a drink/ playing pool etc. Trouble is though there was a very dodgy guy who walked in and headed straight for where the salsa crowd coats and bags were. I went over and basically stood there and watched him, I let him know that he was being watched. It probably helped I was dressed like James Bond in a dinner jacket etc. Oh and had a replica gun too. He left shortly after!
