Hi guys,

I’ve been thinking about salsa dancing for ages only somehow can’t plough the courage to have a go.

I used to do ballroom back in Leicester but I would love to try something more lively. I am not sure I’ve got what it takes. Any tips on how to overcome the fear?

Hi katka,

I think the best piece of advice is to just go for it... be prepared to laugh and just smile!

Salsa is such a fun social dance and there are so many beginners who feel the same as you... don’t let other people put u off... I’m sure you’ve got what it takes!

Besides, there are many people who aren’t ‘naturals’ lets say but everyone still does it and has fun... practice makes perfect and all that.

Salsa in cardiff is very friendly and welcoming so hopefully you should enjoy it!

Hopefully see u about!

Agree that Cardiff is one of the friendliest...

I always travel across the bridge to go to one of Andy’s lessons...

Yes, Lisa is right - Go for it...

You will not look back!

Hi katka

You would be absolutely fine - especially with some dance background. All classes cater for beginners so just find which night suits you best and give it a go - you only live once after all!!

You’d always be more than welcome at my classes (for details check out http://nat.heminc.co.uk/salsa/ - both are very friendly and welcoming.)

Good luck!

I also want to learn to dance salsa, but I don’t know where to go. Some of my friends have recommended some places, but I was wondering if you guys have any ideas?

Hi latinsolvero,
Check the link above (St. Peter’s Leisure Club on Minster Road, just off Newport Road) Friday evening at 6pm. I’m going to check it out tonight so might see you there o))
